Strategic Directions:
The Association develops a network of professional and responsible organizations, creates a pool of experts who are able to implement the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI), advocates for legislative changes in the information disclosure in extractive sector.
One of the key areas is to support communities (in particular, youth empowerment) of extractive regions.
The result is the creation of a sustainable system of public involvement and support in the (EITI).

Joining the efforts of civil society to cooperate with the authorities and extractive companies to manage natural resources effectively and preserve the environment.
Raising public awareness about the implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative and taking into account the population interests of the regions where minerals are mined.
Ensuring transparency in the planning and management of budget funds in the extractive industry and energy sector.
Improving public management of natural resources and revenues from their use.
Coordination, methodological, information-advisory and other assistance to the energy sector institutions.

Promoting sociological, psychological, cultural, anthropological, ethnographic and other researches and analysis in accordance with the principles of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (an independent standard of transparency implemented in more than 50 countries and voluntarily supported internationally).

The «EnergyTransparancy» Association was established on July 8, 2009 (re-registered with the status of a legal entity on January 3, 2019). The Association was created to promote the international EITI standard in Ukraine at the public level and in the extractive regions. The Association delegates public members to the multi-stakeholder group EITI (MSG EITI). The legal status of MSG EITI is defined by the Law of Ukraine 2545-VIII «On ensuring transparency in the extractive industries». The activities of the Association are aimed at increasing the capacity of the organization and its members in the EITI implementation in Ukraine. The sustainable development of the Association directly affects the work of MSG EITI and the process of EITI implementation in Ukraine.

Association projects:
Stimulating the institutional development of members of the Association “EnergyTransparency" (2020) – increasing the organizational capacity of the Association "EnergyTransparency" members and ensuring the sustainable development of the Association for the implementation of the EITI in Ukraine. Grant-giving organization – PWYP.
Data verification and pilot integration for the EITI portal for Ukraine (2020) – implementation of the portal updated MVP version and preparation of the EITI portal transfer for administration to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine; integration of data with Derzhgeonadr (Derzhgeoinform) in terms of information disclosure on special permits and work programs. Launch of the EITI portal for Ukraine (2019 – 2020) – development of a long-term strategy and implementation of the MVP version of the EITI data portal in order to disclose information on the products of the mining industry from production to sale, as well as all market participants in the field of mining and their beneficiaries.
